This 1999 Vauxhall Frontera as featured on the Tasty Classics YouTube channel needs a new home after the car has been resurrected from a 4 year slumber, MOT'd and is now ready to be someone's daily driver.
I've personally driven over 100 miles in the car and it's been excellent but it still has a couple of small niggles to sort -
Aside from that everything works and she is a very well looked after car.
The best way to see the condition of the car and the story behind it is to watch the videos - search 'Tasty Classics Frontera' on YouTube and there are two videos to watch. I show all of the MOT work and the condition much more thoroughly.
The engine is the Isuzu unit and is very powerful and reliable.

The Rover P6 needs a new home! It's a rolling restoration after extensive engine work, she now purrs like a kitten and is ready for a slow and steady series of recommissioning.
This car could be driven home, it would probably be better to have it delivered though so you can assess the road-worthyness for yourself before using it.

The car has had a comprehensive refurbishment and restoration over the last two years, I've enjoyed it and now it's time to move it on.
What's the history of the car?
I bought the car from ebay after having a saved search for a few years waiting for the right one to come up, I wanted silver with black leather as I think that looks the best (Vauxhall agree as it's the exact same combo they used in their advertising literature!)
The car has low owners, 3 previous to me, the previous owner had started working on the car but couldn't complete so we took over.
There is a huge stack of paperwork with the car, every old tax disc, full book pack with all radio codes, sat nav disc and is HPI clear. All of the tool kits etc are present and don't look to have been used.
I have personally driven around 12000 miles in the car, MOT'd it twice, daily'd it, it now sits on 124211 with MOT until 10/03/2023. It had an oil and filter change around 2000 miles ago. It's on my plate now but will put it back on it's original reg V727GJH.
What has been done to the car?
When I bought the car it was in a bad way, hadn't been on the road for years, was sitting under a cover outside and generally very sad - the engine was in pieces with most of it in the boot and it was in bad need of rescuing so -
It had a full engine top end rebuild by myself and an ex Vauxhall mechanic including having both heads remanufactured including all new seals and parts, everything on the engine that could be replaced was and the engine is like brand new - it's incredibly strong and powerful and wants for absolutely nothing. (this work alone was roughly £2500 on parts and headwork)
Then for the MOT I did some welding work underneath, not huge amounts but some small mot repairs which were done to a high standard and will last.
Everything steering and suspension has been replaced, ie wishbones, track rod ends etc etc plus subframe bushes on the rear. I then had a 4 wheel alignment done.
It had new brakes and I also painted the Calipers red (Vauxhall!)
Lots of other brand new parts were fitted such as battery, power steering pump, normal service items, Irmscher number plate surrounds, hydraulic struts for boot and bonnet, car mats, a new bluetooth stereo system (coupled with the bose system in it it sounds pretty special! Original stereo included, fully working) interior gaiters for handbrake and gear selector, new switches, replacement arm rest and probably more i'm forgetting!
I then did some bodywork to the car and as she sits now it's pretty beautiful, not 100% perfect but not far off at all. A couple of tiny minor bits of rust starting on door corners etc but happy to give you the paint I have left to do any touch ups.
I then had the wheels professionally re diamond cut and brand new Dunlop Sport Maxxs were fitted less than 2k miles ago
All in all i've spent thousands on this car, if you include my labour you're probably looking well towards £10-15k. Its now ready for it's new owner to enjoy, I have done what I set out to do with it and it's now time to move onto the next long term project.
The only thing that is unfinished is the Air Conditioning has been removed, the pipe had a hole in it and I gave it to a firm for repair and they haven't done it and time has run out, i'll include absolutely everything on the AC side including all nuts and bolts and the old pipe so you can have that repaired and fit it in your ownership, all the hot and cold works as normal so it's not really bothered me. There is also a noticeable difference in the engine uptake on throttle without the AC compressor involved!

Citroen Visa 11e
1985 b612mcm
Purchased by myself 2 years ago from a garage where it had been stood since 2012, before that it belonged to a lady who had the car from new - it's showing 3 previous owners on the log book but it's the same family.
The car needed a whole scheme of refurbishment which I've lovingly taken care of over the last couple of years - it passed it's MOT in February and I've done around 1500 miles in it since then, it's an absolute joy to drive and is pure Citroen... From the one spoke steering wheel to the way it rolls around corners and absorbs almost all bumps in the road.
The work I've done included a major brake overhaul, the entire fuel system was replaced and the tank cleaned out, also the carburettor was rebuilt and fuel pump replaced, that's the key to the cars reliability - it's a manual choke engine and it never fails to start, pulls really well, never gets hot and performs great on the motorway or sat in traffic.
Body wise the car had a couple of spots of rust including a bumper bracket which have all been renewed to a high standard, the main rust was the door bottoms which is a common area on the visa... These have been stripped back, welded and painted with expertly matched paint... You wouldn't know any work had been done yet it took me about a month!
All the other paintwork is original and is vibrant yet has some really original areas of patina that really show the car off, it'd be easy to just paint the whole car but it looks so much better as it is.
The underneath is immaculate and has had some more protection to keep it that way.
For the MOT I had all the tyres replaced and I spent quite a while renewing some of the wiring for the headlights, indicators, that sort of thing. Everything now works exactly as it should, including a period radio cassette... At the time of the MOT I also gave it a major service.
The interior is stunning the front seats were worn so I had them professionally retrimmed to match the rear by an ex Bentley trimming company. The steering wheel is a bit discoloured but I had a saved search on eBay waiting for one to come up, the new owner could do the same.
The roof rack is optional and is easily removed and won't leave any sign it was there, it'll come with the car though as will the baskets as I think they really suit it
A couple of other big jobs that were real head scratchers were the fuel sender, finding one of those was hard but it now has a brand new one so all the guages work perfectly, also the boot lock failed and we actually 3d printed a replacement part to get it working as it should again, two of the wheel centre caps are also 3d printed as they were impossible to find.
Nothing more to say apart from I'll be sad to see it go but I'm in the business of bringing these old cars back to life in a way that they can be enjoyed every day and it's time to move onto the next.
